I am a computer scientist with research interests in Digital Humanities and a particular focus on the application of computer science to the study of the language and literature of pre-modern China. I currently teach a variety of subjects including Artificial Intelligence, Natural Language Processing, and Digital Humanities.
I am also the creator and administrator of the Chinese Text Project, the largest digital library of pre-modern Chinese texts. This library has an active crowd-sourced editorial community, is accessed by over 30,000 individual users each day, and is one of the 4000 most frequently visited websites worldwide in China, Taiwan and Hong Kong, where many of its users are based.
